Our Story

Built by coffee people, for coffee people

Coffee roasting process

How It Started

Back in 2019, two friends working in Glasgow hospitality kept running into the same problem. People would ask us which espresso machine to buy for home, we would recommend something decent, and then six months later they would complain about poor customer service or machines sitting unused because nobody showed them how to dial in properly.

The equipment was fine. The support was not. Big retailers treated coffee machines like toasters - sell it, ship it, forget about it. We knew there had to be a better way.

So we pooled our savings, found a small unit in Renfrew with good parking, and opened Crematica. The idea was simple: sell machines we actually believe in, and stick around after the sale to make sure customers get what they paid for.

What We Stand For

Genuine Passion

We drink the same coffee we sell. Every machine in our showroom gets used daily. If we would not put it in our own kitchen, we will not recommend it for yours.

Honest Advice

Sometimes the right answer is "you do not need to spend that much" or "this machine is overkill for your workflow." We would rather lose a sale than sell you something wrong.

Long-Term Thinking

A customer who comes back in five years for an upgrade is worth more than a quick upsell today. We build relationships, not transactions.

The Renfrew Showroom

Our 1,200 square foot space on Paisley Road is not fancy, but it works. Most importantly, every machine on display is plumbed in and ready to pull shots.
